Melhem Scientific Strengthens Global Partnerships in Lebanon, Expands Commitment to Medical Innovation

Beirut, Lebanon – August 12, 2025 – Melhem Scientific announced a series of strategic engagements and collaborations during its recent visit to Lebanon, reinforcing its global mission to drive medical innovation and improve health outcomes.

The delegation, representing both the Boston and Washington, D.C. offices, met with key academic and healthcare leaders, including Mr. Joseph Abi Ghanem, Director of Student Engagement at Saint George University of Beirut, and Mr. Salim Chahine, to explore joint initiatives aimed at fostering education and innovation.

The visit included a return to LAU Medical Center Rizk Hospital, the LAU Gilbert and Rose-Marie Chagoury School of Medicine, and the LAU Simulation Lab, Melhem Scientific’s first and main partners in Lebanon. “From day one, they believed in us regardless of age or titles and walked every step with us,” said Nehme Gerges Melhem, President & Chairman of Melhem Scientific. “Their trust and collaboration have laid the foundation for everything we’ve built.” In addition, Melhem Scientific was formally invited to a private event of the Executive Health Prevention Program, hosted by the LAU Medical Center Rizk Hospital. 

Meetings with Dean Sawaya of the American University of Beirut and Dr. Eman Sbaity at her lab highlighted ongoing opportunities to collaborate on groundbreaking research in breast cancer, Melanoma, Retroperitoneal, and soft tissue sarcomas.

The visit concluded with active participation in the Early-Onset Colorectal Cancer Symposium, where Melhem Scientific reaffirmed its commitment to raising awareness and supporting research on this urgent health challenge.
