WASHINGTON, D.C., April 30, 2026 — Melhem Scientific and Melhem Pharmaceuticals today announced the formal signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), establishing a unified strategic framework to accelerate collaboration across research, pharmaceutical access, and healthcare innovation.
The agreement executed Feb. 17, 2026, by Kabas Abou Jahjah, Chief Executive Officer of Melhem Pharmaceuticals, and Carina Martin, Vice President of Global Partnerships and strategic development at Melhem Scientific, aligns the operational and strategic capabilities of both organizations to deliver scalable, high-impact healthcare solutions.
From a global operations perspective, the partnership represents a significant advancement in streamlining coordination, enhancing the flow of information, and improving cross functional processes between the two entities. By aligning infrastructure, data sharing practices, and execution workflows, the agreement is designed to maximize value for partners and constituents while accelerating progress toward shared mission driven objectives.
Under the framework, Melhem Scientific will lead biomedical research, artificial intelligence-driven health informatics, and academic and training initiatives. Melhem Pharmaceuticals will oversee pharmaceutical strategy, regulatory alignment, distribution networks, and clinical integration. Together, the organizations will advance initiatives spanning applied artificial intelligence in medicine, digital health infrastructure, translational research, and expanded access to essential therapies across priority global regions.
Operational alignment enabled by the MOU will support a more unified execution model, thereby reducing redundancies, accelerating decision making, and improving the transition from discovery to delivery. This approach is expected to strengthen health systems, improve patient outcomes, and expand access to innovative therapies.
The collaboration will also include co-developed global symposia, seminars, and convenings focused on advancing innovation in medicine and healthcare delivery. Additional joint initiatives will include international medical missions, workforce development and capacity building programs, targeted healthcare access efforts, and cross-institutional research collaborations aimed at addressing disparities in underserved regions.
